My Daily Makeup Routine ♡

Recently several people have asked me what order should they put there make-up on?
It is different for everyone and their routine, BUT in order to help I’m just going to tell you mine!

Of course, I am not a professional makeup artist, it is just what I have heard and what I personally do.
I wash my hands first as I often use my fingers to apply and rub in the products on my face. This is my personal preference, but you can also use a beauty cushion or brush.

As you know I tend to have dry skin so first I put on All Around Safe Block Essense Sun Milk but Missha, this moisturizes my skin and protects it from the sun and it’s harshness during the day.

Next I put on Benefit The Porefessional Primer to set my face ready for makeup!

Then I use, The Seam Cover Perfection Tip Concealer as I have REALLY obvious bags under my eyes, which I rub in with my fingers.

After that I use the CareZone Nordenau Water BB Cream to smooth out my skin, again with my fingers.

Next I use A’Pieu Moist Creamy Concealer as an extra concealer to hide those under eye bags of mine. This I leave to go slightly dry before I rub in as it gives a more even coverage.

Then I go to my eyes, if I’m wearing eye shadow I put that on first… but for daily life I put on my Liquid Eyeliner, I use a normal eyeliner brush to line the lid of my eye and then I go over it with my MAC liquid eyeliner.

After that comes my eyelash curler which I use to just angle my lashes, I normally hold each eye for 30 seconds! When I do this properly (AKA not in a rush) everyone compliments me on how long my eyelashes are so would definitely recommend this step.

Next is my Etude House Curl Fix Black Mascara, which has instructions of use on the box for the specific brush; followed by the Etude House Dr Mascara Volume up Fixer (pink and white NOT green and white) which fixes my mascara on. This is perfect as my eyelids are hooded so my mascara tends to smudge off. Since using it my mascara never comes of… HOWEVER make sure to have a good eye makeup remover if you use this.

Finally, I apply my Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer which just evens out my makeup, gets rid of those smudges from my eye makeup mistakes and gives me that final smoothed out look.

I set my under eyes with Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact and then use Too Cool for School Perfect Day Makeup Fixer to keep my look throughout the day!

I’ll put a Too Long Didn’t Read Version (TLDR) on my website just in case you ever need it again.. I hope my makeup routine is able to help someone somewhere! ♡

Absence ♡

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to explain what’s been going on and why I haven’t been posting weekly which is what I wanted to do. I haven’t posted for around a month for 2 reasons; firstly my computer started to freeze all the time which meant I wasn’t able to upload pictures or search of anything. Secondly I moved apartments, YAYYYYYY!

I loved my old apartment, but it was time to leave that old unhappy part of my life behind.

Now I feel ready to give you my weekly reviews now that moving has all finished!

I will be planning to upload 1 post a week on a Wednesday.

I’m interested in letting you know about other fun places in Seoul, BUT this page was meant to be reviews only. So I’m going to keep it that way!

I’ve also just opened a showyourseoul Facebook and Instagram because I know WordPress isn’t everyone’s cup of tea!

It’s Skin Babyface Oil Drop Tint ♡

Today I’ll be reviewing the new Babyface Oil Drop Tint from It’s Skin!

6379132846866432

This lip tint currently comes in 3 colours; red, pink and orange. I picked up the red tint from my nearest It’s Skin to give it a try and tell you what I thought about it!

Oil tints are meant to be slightly more moisturisng than normal lip tints. I often complain that the only flaw of lip tints is that they are extremely drying. I hate having chapped lips and with it being winter in Korea this happens A LOT!

The Babyface Oil Drop Tint was better than other lip tints in this department. My lips didn’t feel as chapped after using it, which made me super happy. In addition the colour lasted a long time, not as long as the Banila Co. Lip Tint, but after several hours you could still tell I had used tint which I was loving.

The only downfall of this tint is that after several hours the tint pooled in the lines of my lips which caused a strange affect. The colour remained on my lips, but this pooling caused the lines in my lips to be an obvious deep red in comparison! It did look a little strange, which might be perfect for Halloween…but not quite normal for an ordinary day, haha. I think the only way to avoid this affect is to keep applying the tint, but that is too demanding for me and I’m scared the tint will just make the lines a deeper and deeper red.

A great, non-drying lip tint, which I would recommend to people that are okay with touching up often to avoid those dark lip lines.

That is why I would give this lip tint 4 stars!

EDIT- given this lip tint several more attempts and it has been getting worse and worse… it is not only going in the ceases of my lips but also darkening the chapped part of my lips… I had a meeting with my boyfriend’s family a day after I used the lip and my lips looked awful.

Demoting this from 4 stars to 0 stars and will be throwing out my lip tint.

Really unhappy with the this tint.

What’s next? ♡

Hey everyone!

After a very hectic overhaul I’m going to be back posting a review once or twice a week.
First, I wanted to see anyone had any preference about what a reviewed next?

Would you like any products in particular? (For example, a detailed review about a product on my ‘Current Favorites’ page?)

Or any specific type of product? (For example, a foundation, a mascara, a blusher, or a contour kit?)

Just let me know in the comments! (If no-one comments I’ll just pick randomly ^^)

Love,

Current Favourites Page is OPEN! ♡

Hey guys,

I’ve just added a feature to the page that I hope you will like.

At the top (below the showyourseoul title) I have added a ‘Current Favourites ♡’ page!

This is a page with my current favorite beauty items which I have split into categories, for example: lip tints, BB cushions, mascara, concealers etc.

I’m hoping this helps people that are looking for specific products in South Korea.

Each product can be found in the named brand store here (for example Banila Co. can be found in the Banila Co. store), but if there is no brand store I have put in brackets where it can be found (for example A’Pieu don’t have a store but can be found in The Saem). I cannot guarantee everything will  be in every country, however there is a mix of Korean and Western products.

Reviews for each product will be coming later!

I hope it helps. ^^

New- Banila Co. Two Kisses Dual Tint ♡

Now for my second lip tint review of today after my Missha Water Full Lip Tint; Banila Co. Two Kisses Dual Tint.

This was recommended on a YouTube beauty account (will be disclosing later 😉 ) and I have managed to become obsessed with this particular lip tint.

I received it for Christmas and it is one of my favorite lip tints now.

There are 4 shades: red, orange, pale orange and pink. These colors are SUPER neon and give a VERY pigmented look. If you don’t like a vibrant colour on your lips then this tint is not for you.

I have the pink colour and as I say this colour is super bright; but it lasts a long time! Perfect for me who always forgets to touch up throughout the day.

There is an emulsion side and a gel side. The emulsion side gives a faint colour which is often used if you want an ombre lip style. The gel side is the lip tint, this can be used in the center for the ombre look or used like normal tint for a complete colour look.

The tint is slightly drying, but I think the only thing that isn’t drying my lips these days is sensitive lip balms! >.<

Therefore I would give this 5 STARS, even thought it is slightly drying the longevity of the tint is a clear winner for me.

New- Missha Water Full Lip Tint ♡

Before I came to Korea I never really used lip tints. I didn’t really understand what they did and I had only heard of Benefit lip tint from my sister.

But in Korea you see A LOT of women with brightly coloured lips and this is because of lip tints. Here they seem to be a staple in many women’s daily make-up choice, with even the older elementary school students trying them out. (Some of my 6th grade students got scolded for trying them out and coming to school with super pink lips!)

Lip tints come in lots of different colors and every beauty company has their own version!

One I have tried and used more than I expected is Missha Water Full Lip Tint.

l_p0049712426

I have fallen in love with the Cherry Coke color and use it as my go-to red tint!

The tint goes on perfectly, however it does tend to fade after a couple of hours so be sure to put it in your bag for touch-ups.

The other problem I find is that it is drying on my lips, however I usually put my lip tint on and then put my lip balm on top.

I would give this product 4 stars out 5. One of my favorite tints, BUT too drying to get the coveted 5 stars.
